Knowing no way to communicate with the creature, Lep crouches in the corner of the train car.

The peacekeepers would arrive in minutes, but the creature might disembowel him or drag him off in seconds...

He watches the fox-like creature, waiting for its next move....

He backs away with his hands raised; this first contact is not going great...

"...I'll just stay on this side of the train, and you stay on yours. How about that?"

"Greetings and sa-lu-tations!"

He runs through greetings, verbal and through gestures, in a rapid-fire barrage of known languages. Lowering himself to eye-level, he extends a hand...

...but preps his leg servos to bolt or lash out with a kick, should the unidentified lifeform prove hostile.

"...Rings of Rigel! Is this a first contact, localized entirely within my tram car?"

Via his implants, he sends an SOS to the local peacekeepers... but their ETA's twenty-seven minutes out.

Lep himself backs away, step by step, hands raised...

"...Good Golly, Miss Molly!"

His autistic-person-taken-by-social-surprise nerves trigger him to spin around at the faint noise.

The scientist leans out the tram's window, whistling to himself and gazing at the city skylines beyond. It's not like Multiversal Weirdness could've followed him to the very heart of his civilization...

I'm boarding a tram to the Federation's capital, where I'll serve as a tour guide to the Dolores Mwanga Memorial!
