Effie isn't *quite* sure of him yet, but she will sometimes tolerate him settling a foot away from her. It gets better every day.

Yu apparently snuck out of his foster home at night and returned home with breakfast in the morning.. but we've thankfully had no problems with him bolting for the door.
Yu was a feral that they brought inside after he suffered from a pretty nasty nose injury. We have no idea how this loverboy survived on the streets for two years! He follows us around making adorable quail noises, headbutts everyone/thing, loves belly rubs, and has 0 food aggression.
On 10/14, Julie and I welcomed Yuichiro (or Yu, Yuichi, Sploot McGoot..) into our home! No prize for guessing how we came up with the name--it eluded us until today!

Yu came to us via a foster parents registered with Brandywine Valley SPCA of DC.
Now *that's* a stick bug!
The buff-tip moth (Phalera bucephala) has mastered a very particular kind of camouflage.

When they close their wings up, they resemble a broken twig.

Native to large parts of Europe, there's regional pattern variation that reflects the local tree species. This one best resembles birch twigs?
I'm so sad I *was* out of the country for it, lol! But thank you, I'll watch it. Thanks for Ungovernable Impulses, too!
I am sooooo sad we'll be out of the country for this, I love y'all!!

WE MARCH AT DAWN FOR SNUGGLES
Home Depot has some that are all pine, if that works!
What about a puzzle board/table makes it not fit what you need?
Gilgamesh is pretty rad, tho.
Good luck with the final vote!!!

So this phrase “able-bodied” has clearly been on the most recent list of R talking points. It comes from the first round of English labor laws, which were instituted after the Black Death.

A mini medieval story time!
Jim Jordan: "If there's an able-bodied adult out there now who is in our welfare system, guess what -- that person is going to have to work ... that is far from immoral."

May every single human being on this planet be safe.

May every single person be protected from harm.

May we bring into being a time in which we are all free from those who do evil— together, speedily and in our days.
I didn't realize this was already out, THANK YOU!
Benson (big orange boi) and Effie (smol brown tabby girl) are here to cleanse your timeline!
Knew you as an author and followed you at the other place. I don't follow all my fave authors, but you have a nice content mix of cats and cunning, brains and burritos.
USDA has been running daily records management sessions for separating employees and I really appreciate it. I'm not used to RM being treated this seriously.
Hell yeah cancer free!!!

I don’t think I’ve made a worse financial decision in my life than developing good taste

I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.
When trying to find the right med combo, my psychiatrist once prescribed 90mg of dexadrine. Yanno, the common med for narcolepsy?

I zonked out after my 2nd dose and almost missed giving a presentation at a conference!

People without ADHD just don't get it & need to stop writing like they do.
