I have a heated pad in the garage for my feral cat, and while I've done my best to get the garage ready for winter, it only can do so much against our harsh winters. She of course doesn't sleep on this pad, and I have limited outlets. Anything heated makes me paranoid, but it has good reviews.

There's a guy on Facebook Marketplace selling properties around Gary, IN for $20-$30k and trying to really amp them up. Sir, it doesn't matter that there's a walk-in garage (what does that mean) when the house has been clearly set on fire and has no windows.

I'm so glad you all really, really like my cat! I stole her when my neighbor left her behind. Her past favorite activity was laying in the middle of the road and waiting to get hit by a car, and her current favorite activity is trying to bite the Churu tube like it owes her money.
Larry is my beautiful princess. I've so rarely had such a photogenic cat! She's gotten fluffier for the winter, I think. Or she's just fat, idk.

This is before it's baked, obviously, but it turned out exactly as gooey as I'd hoped it would, so it should be fine.

Good thing I'm not a bad cook, because I decided to make a baked mac and cheese for Thanksgiving, hoping to replicate whatever I did in 2020 (the last time I bothered to make one), and man I did not do well writing down that recipe. I'm going to measure a lot of this with my heart, I suppose.

As someone who's been buying clothes secondhand online via eBay long before there were whole online marketplaces for it, it is WILD to me how cheap used clothing has gotten. Don't get me wrong, it's not all amazing, but leather boots are like $20. Insane. Not even in 2010 could I pull that off.

This year, I am thankful that Defunctland released a 4 hour video so I can be productive beyond measure tomorrow. I've only finished half of it so far, but I can vibe and draw and do laundry all daaaay

I spent the afternoon helping list some stuff on eBay for a local charity, and this doll (and her tall sister) were made in the US as a more wholesome Barbie competitor (who was made in Japan at the time). With the little glasses, she's such a vibe.

I've been enjoying my time off from making comic pages, and it's definitely helped me make other art here and there without it feeling like my brain is trying to attack me! Mission accomplished? I'm not good at resting, so I'm doing my best to not push myself but still stay busy.

In cat news, the kittens have been running around like crazy today and getting out into the house more often. Mama cat still won't come out for me, but she's getting fluffier for the winter 😭😭😭. I left her some sardines and she does not care. Thanks, girl.

I think the core idea of Back to the Future, other than that time travel is awesome, is that unchecked neuroticism and poor self-esteem is detrimental generationally.
Also that you shouldn't bang your mom if you go to the past, no matter how thirsty she is for you.

The babies are out of baby jail (their playpen) off and on now, and it's been going fairly well! Arthur here is easy. He likes to cuddle and follow me. His brother Mouse loves me when he's forced to, which is inside the playpen with no escape. So there must be a balance for now.

I gotta say, trying to get a job post-2008 was traumatizing and impossible, and I still have multiple friends who never recovered from the complete lack of job market during those times. There were no jobs, barely even retail.
That being said, I think graduating now would break my spirit worse.

In generally positive cat news, mama cat has been much less neurotic today. I'm not sure if she was in heat or what. A mini one? Is that a thing? But I dosed her up good with catnip all over the damn garage and she had a great time with it, so that and the calming diffuser seem to be helping

This kid is for sure in heat. She's way more restless than the day I set up the camera two days ago. She slept maybe two hours total. Sorry little kitty, staying in the garage is birth control for now.
