Please help two former PAWS shelter cats receive vet care they need. In the past, if pet owners couldn't afford vet care, they were told to return their pets to the shelter they adopted them from and have the shelter pay for the care. I don't believe that this is right. Please help if you can #cats

Sadly, it isn't healing right, so her amputation is today. I'm up super early to drive her to her appointment and then to campus to teach all day. Running a shelter is so sad some days 💔

Apologies for the graphic picture. Can you please help my friend Candace Sturtevant ? Her dog was attacked by another dog and needs stitches. PAWS gave her a $60 voucher to cover a vet visit, but the vet she is going to doesn't take donations over the phone 💔 #dogs

Bought the new Pynchon in hardcover today, at our local indie bookseller, fulfilling two promises to self. Read the first few pages while waiting for our lunch sandwiches to be toasted in a nearby patisserie, immediately getting that in-for-a-good-read feeling.

She has an approved adopter, but she hasn't gotten back to us about if she wants Bitsy if she's a 3-legged dog. 💔
