I did not need to be reminded of that.
I knew Eddie would celebrate this moment too.
Well, now she has no choice but to win National Games.
Still feeling a little traumatized from the DYL mishap 😭
What a moment for Donnell. He's been one of my sentimental faves for many years. So glad to see him push through the setbacks and disappointments and return to the podium.
I've not watched a BBC broadcast in years, but do the commentators still call Gelya "Melonkova"?
You didn't really miss anything 😭
I don’t have a strong opinion on the design of the medals. Frankly, the only thing that matters is to me is they aren't as bad as the Olympic medals. As long as they don't chip, rust or flake within days, I can't complain.
Too bad Kaylia and Aiko didn't have the day they could have.
Stumbling OOB (?) on a Memmel is quite something.
I feel the message is clear with wolf turns. When will they ever learn?
This made me laugh more than it should have.
ZBH really is a silver princess.
ZBH should be so dominant and on the path to becoming a legend, but I can always tell from his interviews that he feels a tremendous burden when he competes.
I will be curious to read FIG's report of these Worlds in the next few months.
I'm a little bummed out for Bulgarian gym after a pretty successful season of promising results until Georgieva's injury and the Penev bros' flop qualification.
The current Russians don't quite inspire me like the old school Russians. This group is a little too rough around the edges for my taste.
On that note, 2027 Worlds will be in Chengdu, which means TaiShan will likely be the equipment supplier again lol.
Wolf turns on beam and floor have determined a lot of fates for EF. I'll say that much. 👀
Let's be grateful Olympic qualification wasn't on the line.
So Thailand and Singapore will have first-time finalists! The SEA representation besides Caloy.
No idea what kind of input Jordyn and Kyla have had on Josc's routines, but they seem to have other priorities while Chris is her main coach on the elite leg of her journey.
I imagine this has been a learning experience for Chris acting as an elite coach since this is his first time coaching both. I'm not sure how much time he's spent on learning the CoP.
And in fairness, all the top programs have had their share of problems and misses at these Worlds so far.
Honestly, Aliya deserves a lifetime achievement award. The fact her UB composition remains the blueprint for most Russian routines and still wins medals in all the codes.
