We’re about to drop hubro back at school. One last stop at the Clinton Cider Mill to send him off with cider + donuts to share with his frens - and maybe me! They’re making it as we wait (the line is out the door it’s sooooo good).

At lunch, the waitress recommended “anything from livestock” bc they get their meats from a local farm. Hubro + Mom had ribs. Dad had a burger. I got to try both (no bbq sauce)! So yummy!A few miles down the road, we passed the farm that supplies the meat. That really was local!

Mom + hubro were super hungry after coming down from the mountain so Dad + I took them for BBQ. Look where we ate! It was a sign. I mean, of course it was a sign, but it was also “a sign” bc… I got my own hamburger!

📣🎉They did it! 🎉📣 Mom + hubro hiked (climbed) UP to two peaks in the Adirondacks today! It was a steep, very rocky, hard hike but they did it. I was waiting at the trailhead to greet them when they came down. *proud ears*

It’s another exciting day. We were up + out in the dark bc WE’RE GOING HIKING in the Adironndacks!Mom+hubro are hiking up to TWO summits on a connected trail. Dad+I are hiking around on a lower trail. I’m pretty sure I’ll have a lot to repawt later.

Our cabin is near Old Forge, NY. We went for a walk in town and down to the lake where we met some of the locals. I was a very good boy and did polite hellos.

We stopped at the Clinton Cider Mill (which is almost 100yo) to get some cider and apple cider donuts. I got a taste and can confirm they live up to their reputation as being among the best! Yummy.

Some of hubro’s frens are staying on campus over the long weekend so he took me to meet them and I got to see his dorm room, too. I feel better knowing he’s made nice frens and is comfy + settled while living away from home.

Remember when Dad put together my travel crate? It turns out it’s bc we’re going on a mini vacation - WITH HUBRO! He has a 4 day “fall break” so we’re all gonna stay in a cabin in the Adirondacks. I’m so excited! Let the adventures begin!

Mom’s avocado toast was like eating a garden! She said once she got over not wanting to disturb it and she figured out how to eat it, it was delicious.
