I spent two days drawing this and then pulled up the other two I'd already done and cracked myself the fuck up. They're so messy and he's so smooth and voluminous. His hair's also too short but I didn't want to go much further down.

My oversized arachnid... I'm still on the fence about exactly what his human body feels like. Is he squishy or is that more carapace made to look human? Both options are equally likely. If the Prince swung that glass sword at him it would shatter on impact either way.

Since I've been drawing my babies again I want to remind everyone what the rest of the Underking looks like
I found out yesterday that my sister had never seen video of scorpions in motion, so I made her watch several and then showed her the Underking's full body design again. She was like "oh."

It occurred to me that I have two completely different explosion-themed characters who are both Water-themed instead of, like, Fire-themed. That's probably the Megaman Fan coming out in me. Love you always and forever Pirateman

The Flame Popess is the one who united the Four. Two hundred years before the story began she went on a worldly pilgrimage, stopping in each major settlement in turn and seeking out the most powerful entity in the area. Though she looks mostly human, she, too, is a beast, and was drawn to them.

Now I just gotta redraw Alexis again (her design is not changing, although at some point she does get an outfit upgrade, but that's not replacing her original design). And then there is one more person that I don't believe I've mentioned at all thus far... Mysterious.

Their boss titles include some clues on what their respective boss forms will be like, or where their stories go to make boss creatures with such titles. What makes her a "molten legion?" What the fuck is going on with the Water Baron? You'll find out!

I think "Elemental Lords" is the best descriptor, especially since three out of four have some sort of title of nobility attached to them. The Flame Popess is different, and I think she would call them all "beasts" (herself included) because she's insecure about her own lacking monstrousness
