That Musk and Sachs and other tech billionaires backing and working for Trump are white South Africans who left after apartheid fell is not a coincidence bsky.app/profile/coll...
When I was a teenager one of the most unmitigatedly good things anyone could do was oppose, vigorously, apartheid. There were concerts. International boycotts. Whole-ass action movies. We protested at consulates.
Among the nominees just confirmed is Leo Brent Bozell III, a far-right activist and critic of the fight to end apartheid, who Collins just approved to be the United States AMBASSADOR TO SOUTH AFRICA.

WTF? ICE is arguing in court that US CITIZENS can be detained, handcuffed, and biometrically screened unless they can prove citizenship on the spot. And that a REAL ID isn't enough. This isn't border security.

there is really no difference between the current administration and having the country run by david duke
On that last post: I genuinely cannot think of any good-faith reason to bar international adoptions from those 39 countries. Under this new ban, consulates will refuse adoption visas for any baby from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nigeria, or any of the 39 other countries.

Surprised but also not surprised that so much discourse on Russia rests on people choosing to ignore the things that Putin and other powerful Russians explicitly say.

Nearly a year into Trump's 2nd term, the only rational conclusion that can be drawn from his shit show is that Vladimir Putin is now the Commander In Chief of the US military.

We have a terrible track record of overseas military interventions & nation building.

I fought some of those wars. What have they gotten us over the last 20 years?

Thousands of American lives lost and trillions of dollars of debt.

From a late 18th/early 19th century dictionary.

“TRUMPERY, n. falsehood; empty talk” or in New England: “useless matter; things worn out and cast [a]side.”
