There are still 2k positions remaining and not eliminated, but the furlough has essentially made it impossible for the Department of Education to function.

That's their end game anyway, and as a special education teacher, I'm concerned. I just think we need to make sure we're being accurate.

I posted about it here, and the actual numbers (other than than 20%) are unclear because we don't know if it's counting 87% of the 2.4k workers remaining after initial layoffs or the 2k after this last round.

Either way, ~300 staff are running the Dept of Ed currently

They cut the Dept of Ed almost in half in March. Now another almost 20% will be gone, and 87% of remaining employees furloughed.

This administration hates children with disabilities and education.

What trump is doing is so devastating, I feel it's very important that we only share accurate information.

He cut 466 positions, about 20%, and furloughed 87% of the remaining staff.

This video uses the verbiage "eliminated," which is not correct.

The thing that gets me about actors responding like this whenever they’re asking about JKR is that they always say “we need to learn to agree to disagree ^_^” as if trans people are the ones leading the campaign, when we’re just trying to live our lives while JKR posts about trans hate 24/7

My Christian ex was recently telling me how he has Trump supporter friends and just avoids talk of politics to maintain the relationship. Our daughter is Trans. That's definitely a choice.

Republicans are monsters. There is no sugar coating it, excusing it. They believe the intelligence is bad, and their main concern is some innocents being killed might be American, but despite that, keep bombing away.
