After one year of protests, the student and civic movement in Serbia has achieved the unimaginable - it failed to make a dent in the rule of a genuinely unpopular, incompetent, and corrupt Serbian ruling big tent coalition. So how exactly did they manage to do that?

No, it doesn't. Serbia, as always, stands today, tomorrow and forever faced with the consequences of its own stupidity, until it stops being a voluntary BRICS tentacle or ceases to exist as an organized society. No crisis there.
Serbia today stands on the brink of an energy and political crisis.

The most acute problem has arisen around the company Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS), which controls the country’s only oil refinery in Pančevo.

The mythical Soviet victory from WW2. In the minds of many humans on planet Earth, the Soviets (ie, Russians) defeated the Nazis on their own. That and the constant fear of the Russian Bear instilled in people's minds during the Cold War still fuels the delusion of Russian "invincibility".
Imagine thinking Russia is some sort of land of plenty. Russia took a year to capture… 1%(?) of Ukrainian territory.
