She stood before me, bloody axe dripping on the floor. I stared down at my severed leg, fear and anger mixing behind my tears.
“Don’t be sad: I’m going to make you beautiful.” She told me.
I let my expression darken, tears widening along my face as my true eyes, dozens of them, cracked into reality.

Rules are made to be deliberately broken because sometimes it makes a real difference. A good editor can always come along after and give you a good reason if it doesn‘t work, is what I’d assume.

Given an average word count of 800-1500 for most of my episodic chapters, I'm expecting this to be sub-6k words, and one episode per week to keep it sustainable. It's not a full novel, but a chance for me to balance science, fantasy, superheroes and world-building to prepare for a later book. :sip:

Final chapter involves a showdown with The Muskrat and enough cringe energy to literally break the universe. Time travel, excessive gravity and the nature of corporate, independent and academic research collide. Someone's gotta die today, and author's got the final say. 😌

Third involves a hermit who has stayed offline their entire life, and how that kind of oblivion can be both a weakness and a strength. I considered a name like "The Okay Boomer" for this one, a hero who gets painted as a villain when someone with their face commits crimes, but that might be mean?

Second story involves an MLM pyramid scheme sucking his mother in, and what it takes to break their hold on her without breaking her bank. Explores algorithmic reality manipulation and AR.

First story is going to be enough background to explain why he's doing this vigilante-style, and a little insight into what these powers might mean in the wrong hands before they finally get Al's gear and identity pinned down. Explores cringe and physics to give a squishy sci-fi feel.
