In 2025, SECUSO was part of the evaluation of the @helmholtz.de Topic Engineering Secure Systems. Part of the evaluation was the research of the group Human and Societal Factors under SECUSO leadership. This includes the development of the NoPhish concept with various measures and their evaluation.

2025 brought #SECUSO many new things: In addition to four new employees and numerous new student assistants, we expanded our societal #outreach with the citizen panel “Wir forschen Digital”. Since November, citizens from Karlsruhe are able to register for participation in #research studies. 1/3

Im November war Prof. Dr. Stefan Katzenbeisser zu Besuch bei #SECUSO. Katzenbeisser ist Professor an der Universität Passau und Mitbegründer der INCYDE GmbH, die sich auf die #Sicherheit im #Schienenverkehr spezialisiert. 1/2

Schwerpunkte unserer Forschung sind die Entwicklung und die Analyse von Sicherheitsinfrastrukturen. Dabei decken wir die gesamte Bandbreite von der Entwicklung von Sicherheitsankern für eingebettete Systeme bis hin zum Entwurf von Sicherheitskonzepten für kritische Infrastrukturen ab. Wir begrüßen Christian Mack bei #SECUSO! Christian hat kürzlich seinen Master in #Informatik am @kit.edu erworben. In seiner Masterarbeit untersuchte er, wie sich das #Vertrauen der US-Wähler nach der Präsidentschaftswahl 2024 zwischen den bei der #Wahl eingesetzten Wahlmaschinen unterscheidet. 1/2
