It's really too bad the United States Congress no longer exists.
We watched The Princess Bride last night and forgot what's going on in the U.S. for a bit and felt that love could truly save the world—maybe, hopefully —and cried when Grandpa told his grandson 'as you wish' when he asked to be read the story again the next day. Hopefully love will save us. ❤️

As a writer, I've grown to accept that no matter how hard I work on a manuscript & revise it many times that inevitably I'll think it's a piece of shit. Even though I've won several book awards & sold thousands of books, my writer brain always comes back to this new book is shit. 🤷♂️

As a writer, I've grown to accept that no matter how hard I work on a manuscript & revise it many times that inevitably I'll think it's a piece of shit. Even though I've won several book awards & sold thousands of books, my writer brain always comes back to this new book is shit. 🤷♂️

It's been difficult for me to finish up a novel I've been working on with all the horrible things happening in the US right now. I've been trying to stay away from the news, but it finds its way to me in my social feeds. As a writer, I want to resist through my art, but man, it's been very hard. 😩
