The number of patients waiting 12 hours or more at A&E departments has reached the highest level since February.

Under the SNP we have seen 8 and even 12 hour waits become the norm at A&E, but these waits used to be vanishingly rare.

We need to see action now from the SNP Government to relieve the massive pressure on staff before winter arrives.

Over a decade ago the SNP promised action on the A96, but endless broken promises are all anyone in the North East has seen.

If the SNP were truly serious about delivering for Scotland, they would take the chance of being in Aberdeen to give a new date for dualling the A96.

Vast numbers of Scots are on waiting lists and the SNP Government is seven years behind England when it comes to introducing an NHS app.

No one should trust John Swinney with running the health service.

The SNP have been in power for 18 years and on their watch there are not enough GPs.

In fact they have hired less than 1 in 10 of the GPs they promised in 2017.

John Swinney didn’t fund a fix when he was Finance Secretary for years. No one believes he will do it now as First Minister.

The new Edinburgh Northern seat is going to be a straight fight between the Liberal Democrats and the SNP.

By backing the Liberal Democrat candidate Sanne Dijkstra-Downie in May, voters can elect a strong local champion and beat the SNP in Edinburgh Northern.

The new Edinburgh Northern seat takes in a large part of Scottish Lib Dem leader Alex Cole-Hamilton's current Edinburgh Western constituency, represented at Westminster by fellow Lib Dem Christine Jardine, as well as parts of Edinburgh Northern & Leith where the party has a strong vote.

The Lib Dems say the vote breakdown from previous elections suggest a close contest between them and the SNP. Lib Dem candidate, Forth ward councillor Sanne Dijkstra-Downie, will be pitched against the SNP's Euan Hyslop, a fellow councillor.
