I have a thought for neutering the gammons a bit. From now on we should refer to the European Human Rights Act as Churchills Human Rights Act.

And now they are having to argue against Churchill and the rules he managed to convince the Europeans to accept.

So on the one hand I think rolling back the UK gun ownership is a truly awful idea.

But if it happens and "Self defence" becomes a valid reason for owning one I'm getting one and learning to use it.

Having a moment. There's a playtest due to start for GURPS Ring of Fire. So we've got a game I love and a series of books I love and the chance to run a playtest for it?

A few years back I'd have jumped at it. But now I can't for so many reasons.

Which makes me sad.

A controversial and polarizing figure, but also widely hailed obituary  Matt Trout will be missed by many, even though he was a divisive figure who featured several times on The Register.…

Probably not though.

Could you help us out? It's been one of the quietest months in a decade, and partly I believe it's because people don't know we exist! Hi! I'm Annie! I run Bad Squiddo Games! We hand sculpt & hand cast 28mm scale models of women, critters, scenics & occasionally a man!

I think on this Independence Day it's important to not forget the sacrifices made for our freedom.

So today lets raise a toast to Russell Casse without whose brave sacrifice we would all have been eaten by aliens.

I did the Weekly challenge again this week on Monday. Today I brushed off my thoughts and wrote a blog about it and doing it in Raku.

Enjoy.

This is a powerful piece by the truly brilliant Jameela Jamil that is well worth a read.
I think I'm done with being interviewed by women.

I should probably do some tweaking on my CSS but here's me back doing the Weekly Challenge in #rakulang and writing about it too.

This week was one of those 'pretty easy in Raku' ones. Still I think I've covered some interesting stuff.

So I guess on the bright side I've not spent a hundred quid on a box of plastic and cardboard today. So that's good.

On the down side how quickly did Kill Team Typhon sell out. I forgot about it for a bit while playing games and whoosh it's gone.

Listened to the most recent episode and it got me thinking. Why have all of Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart's kids dropped the Lethbridge from their names?

(Canonically that is ;) )

Walking through Cambridge one day in the 80's and I walked past Stephen Fry. I stopped and looked round to see him looking back and grinning at me putting his finger to his lips. He'd obviously seem my reaction to seeing him.

It was cool.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

I have a thought about Doctor Who. Why, when so much other modern TV spend a season telling one story has Dr Who veered so far towards single episode stand alone stories with some sort of overarching plot thing?

Maybe a move towards staying in one place for a very episodes to explore would be good?

I love my cats. They love the fact that since we moved to Scotland we have a cat flap.

I don't love it when Shadow (the black tom cat) brings in small dead animals.

I love it less when he brings in small fully alive animals as catching an releasing them is a pain.

So for my current task I've had to work with PHP for Wordpress development, Python for an API, Perl in our legacy environment and Javascript on top.

Sometimes I remember that I'm actually not too bad at this stuff. I might be an old dog but I've got some knowledge.
