"A gut punch."

Utah is still reeling after the murder of conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk. @schotthappens joins the #11thHour to discuss the reaction from communities on the ground.
I regret to inform you that Utah Rep. Trevor Lee is now sporting a mustache.

Remember that bullshit story from CBS News about Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent who killed Renee Good, suffering “internal bleeding.”

Turns out Bari Weiss (who is not a journalist) was more than happy to carry water for the Trump administration.

Absolute clown show 🤡🤡🤡

Don't think of it as Utah's hottest year ever.

Think of it as the year with the lowest temperatures for the rest of your life.
After several times we came close, especially in 2024, Utah finally broke its hottest year on record (previous was set in 1934) in 2025 ... and it wasn't even close.

Here's a breakdown of the new data from last year #utwx:

Utah shattered 91-year-old temperature record, other records in 2025
2025 was the hottest year in almost a century, snapping a longstanding Utah record dating back to 1934, per new federal climate data.

Utah's constitution bans gambling, but companies like FanDuel and DraftKings have been operating here anyway.

How? Using a legal gray area to offer users "Pick 'em" contests and daily fantasy sports.

A new bill would slam the door shut on that loophole.

Utah HB243 would ban prop bets and daily fantasy sports
Utah already bans gambling. HB243 would make prop bets illegal and likely close the daily fantasy sports loophole that companies have been exploiting.

Why is a far right organization like Utah Parents United given special access to lawmakers in this way?

A few years ago, I wrote about the first time they did this, and several Republican lawmakers, including then-House Majority Leader Mike Schultz, who said my article was “dirty pool.”
Monday night, children and their parents got a chance to take a special tour of the Utah Capitol, learning about the branches of government directly from state leaders.
