Especially then when you then look at how MH Wilds portrayed Omega and did a REALLY good job of implementing FFXIV mechanics.

Wilds in particular has some pretty unique mechanics like mounting during combat, weakening the boss and then targeting weak spots for big damage and also self buffs, open world, etc.
Feels like a waste to have ignored literally all of them.

I was kinda disappointed by it, Rathalos went out of its way to try and implement Monster Hunter mechanics in to the fight (Mounting, limited healing, untelegraphed attacks, no tanking) while Arkveld didn't.
