King of the cats is a British folktale. The most told version tells the tale of a man that comes across a funeral being held by cats and when he retells the story to his wife his cat declares “then I’m the king of the cats“ and leaves never to be seen again.

The kraken of Norwegian origin is a legendary monster of the sea said to resemble something similar to a squid or octopus. The Colossal cephalopod is said to drag ships down into the depths of the sea. One theory is that the kraken was actually a giant squid spotted by sailors.
