I used to grow milkweed for the Monarch butterflies. I hug trees and I like to take photographs of nature, insects, animals, and birds. I try to be a good human. Located in Southwestern Arizona.

Ah. I am in a group called plant identification. They are super strict about the post having location, and no comments can be made about whether or not it is edible, but there's some super smart, really knowledgeable people there, and they answer quite quickly.

In October 1780, Father Francisco Garcés began Mission La Purísima Concepción. Colonists ignored Indian rights, usurped the best lands and destroyed Indian crops. Completely frustrated and disappointed, the Quechans (Yumas and their allies) destroyed Concepción on July 17-19, 1781 and killed Garcés.

We used to visit my grandma up in LA at least once a month. This video features her splendid garden and all those pomegranates I picked for her. The last photo is her and my Kevin. She loved him like he was one of her own. I miss her somethin' fierce.

This was a trip to Harbour Farm & Vineyard for you-pick pumpkins, tomatoes, eggplant, and the tastiest yellow watermelon I have ever had. Total Raptor eXperience was there as well, with some lovely birds of prey.
