USA Curling announced today that they are caving to the administration's demands and banning trans women from all sanctioned women's competition.

I made it. Somehow, I made it. I spent my childhood terrified and alone. Hiding in plain sight.

Yes, I made it, but those scars will never heal. Others weren't so lucky.

Please don't allow any more trans kids to suffer like I did.

If you're someone who thinks trans people should be forced to deal with their body as it is, you should be forbidden from making any modification to your body.

No surgeries. For anything.

Cancer, heart disease, kidney failure, gangrene?

The document reads:

Since 2007, Hollywood Curling Club (HCC) has proudly established itself as the premiere curling program in the Los Angeles area, and has always welcomed curlers of all kinds. Currently HCC members represent a diverse group of individuals with varying gender identities that have established and helped the club grow over the years.

HCC has no interest in being a part of any national organization that adopts policies that are discriminatory towards its own members, regardless of the context. HCC strongly recommends that USA Curling (USAC) refuse to adopt mandated changes to their policies and stand up for their principles. Doing so will send a message to its membership and the wider community that we, as curlers, will not comply with discriminatory and hateful directives. Discrimination is against the spirit of curling.

If USAC adopts this new policy, then HCC will end affiliation with the organization. USAC participation offers minimal benefit to HCC members while creating less accessibility for current and future members of the sport. What little USAC has to offer in the realm of participation in national and international events would be denied to members by adopting these policies.

Regardless of the course that USAC chooses, HCC will proceed to formally establish an inclusion policy that clearly communicates that curlers of any gender identity are welcome to participate in the club however they choose.

We had an administration that managed a soft landing after the worst pandemic in 100 years, that brought our allies together against a serious Russian threat, and that passed important legislation in THIS political time, and all these morons are like, "But why couldn't you fix EVERYTHING?"

Also, that didn't go to Dean. That went to the USOPC athlete ombudsman. I certainly don't believe what I wrote about trans women, but I'm very serious about forcing USA Curling to own the decision they made. They are trying to cut us out while avoiding the shit-show.
