this was formalised by the time of Jesus as leqet, shikheha & peah. leqet = anything you drop when harvesting (ever done apple-picking? any that are on the ground or that you drop when picking belong to the poor). shikheha = any you forget to take inside. peah = the corners of each field/orchard.
in 1st century Judea, the corners of every field had to be left for the poor to pick crops for themselves, every seventh year *all* of the crops from fields and vineyards and orchards belonged to the poor, and all debts of all types were cancelled every 50th year.

Ive been homeless twice. Neither time was for a long period of time, but for like 6 months each. I did sleep in a park a couple of times but was grateful enough to be able to live out of my car and sleep on different couches every night. Ive also spent years without healthcare of any kind.

It would be nice if there was literally a shred of evidence offered for this.
Assume all the yes and no votes from Dem senators are strategic and not sincere votes. The party caucus made a decision. No way to know how many were in favor. Then the caucus decided who would vote yes and no based on what would protect each of them politically the most. That’s how this works.
