Sirensong: by Taylor Coffman 133,00 words Sci-Fi/Romance Tropes: complicated twins, found family, mind control, found family of nerds, disability rep, slowburn. Themes: power/corruption, queer normality, good/bad subversion, hunting CEOs. Opening Line: The last day of life as I knew it began with a thunderstorm. The rain slammed the pavement in sheets, creating a dark, slick look that reminded me of spilled oil. I could hear it drumming against the windows, a fuzzy background static that blended well with the sickly gray tint of the sky. It was mid-day but it looked like dusk, and on the one hand I was never happier to be in a dry, warm office. On the other hand, I have never hated my job more.
