Because even the left uses "affirmative action" as an insult against conservatives, white women, or groups they don't like. In America, being undeserving of your success is the worst image you can have.

and the subhead helps props up a false claim this professor was up to something seedy as something up for debate

Can you show me that science? I assume you're talking about people that have fully transitioned. I find that hard to believe because even post transition there are differences in height and size.

It's possible to support trans rights while still acknowledging a bio advantage in sports.

Not a single actual scientist? Banning trans women from sports should be the easiest low hanging victory for the anti trans side, which is why they’re so desperate to use it as a wedge. All you need is a scientist to talk about physical disparities even after transition. No one could do this?
