Pretty astounded at the places this thing has gone but also very happy that it is now leading others to finally talk about some of these events in the open. As well as people discovering just how much incredible content is in our newsletters, and how many talented folk there is at Social Suplex.
The Social Suplex Newsletter is back with a mega autumn edition as we move to a monthly format.

In our lead article, Trish Speirs takes you through the twists and turns of Hiroshi Tanahashi's "Final Road" to the Tokyo Dome, and how both AEW and WWE play a part.

Yeah, the "main event" spot in AEW is Q1.
I brought this up on the other site so I'll bring it up here.

Women almost never open #AEWDynamite because the Q1 and Q2 is usually reserved for the men that draw the most. On a PPV the main event is the most important. On TV? It's the first quarters.

The women opening Dynamite is a big deal.

She was visiting from out of town- I showed her my fake id. Later I found out she was using a phone card to call my uncle so as not to charge my parents for the long distance call. I threatened to tell my parents, without a beat she said "well maybe I have to tell them about your fake id."

In the past I feel like Dave Meltzer would write something like this--a thorough and honest breakdown of the situation heading into a huge weekend. Dave's still capable of that, but I really appreciate having people like Trish putting in the time and effort to give this kind of analysis.
Wanted to write something on the events leading up to September 20th, and WWE's decision to bring back Lesnar in particular. Let me know your thoughts.
On our Features page, In a two part article, Trish looks at WWE's decision to bring back Brock Lesnar, as well as how WWE are using their ESPN launch to counter program AEW and what the upstart promotion can do in response.

Has more tv time ever been devoted to an angle that went to as few places as this angle did?
Remember when they took about 45 minutes of every Dynamite for months trying to decide if MJF was in the Hurt Syndicate or he wasn't?

Then he WAS in the Hurt Syndicate for all of ten minutes and to absolutely zero effect?

Well now he's out again!

Christ. THE SUSPENSE!
