Thanks to everyone for always keeping those cameras rolling and sharing the videos online. Federal immigration officers in the Chicago area will now be required to wear body cameras, following a ruling by U.S. District Judge Sara Ellis.

It's so weird when Nazis talk like Nazis.

It's like they're Nazis or something.

(Browswer Ballett nailed it in 2019: "Playing the Nazi Card in the Third Reich" w/ English subtitles.)

The truth is: All the money in the world can't buy psychological freedom from trauma.

You have to earn it with hard fucking work.

Trump was too lazy to heal himself. He threw money at every wound. It didn't make it better.

Now he's a volatile hurricane leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.

So fucking do something. You have power. Real influence over how this ends. DO SOMETHING.
As a librarian I was about to say this looks like any mid-size library's media section.

"Fascists fear laughter more than reporting, because ridicule punctures the myth of their strength. A headline can be spun. A fact can be buried. But a punchline reduces the strongman to a clown: once the people laugh, they can’t fear him the same way again."

Fuck her. Ass clowns get no audiences.
Word is that Chicago, New York, and San Francisco are next on the list for a National Guard occupation. Y'all. I can't wait until they get to San Francisco. We'll kill them with pride and kindness. And maybe burritos.

Rest is not a retreat from progress, it's the foundation that sustains it.

It takes enormous fortitude to be aware of the truth and not be destroyed by it.

So pay attention a little less (or focus on truths that are not demoralizing) to sustain the path forward.

Heads up library workers, Overdrive is shoving AI into Libby. It will be making book recommendations and they are rolling it out over the next few weeks. Smoke is pouring out of my ears. 📚
Inspire Me in Libby. Inspire Me is a major new feature that encourages Libby users to explore the farthest reaches of your digital collection for their next read. This engaging experience uses artificial intelligence to suggest creative book "inspirations" that lead readers to matching book recommendations at your library.
To distribute content discovery across your entire collection, the AI-generated inspirations and recommendations presented by Inspire Me will favor titles that are available to borrow. The primary purpose of Inspire Me is to maximize the value of your library's existing catalog.

People posting about how they’ve never seen em dashes used before the rise of ChatGPT are really great at telling folks they’ve never read a book before.

America under Trump has surpassed the movie in its ability to be self-destructive and stupid.
