Warplanes struck multiple areas of Rafah alongside artillery fire and gunfire from military vehicles. Israeli forces backed by bulldozers also briefly advanced into Jabalia in northern Gaza, an area they had withdrawn from under the ceasefire. Quadcopter drones opened heavy fire as buildings were bulldozed before troops pulled back, according to Anadolu. In Gaza City, Israeli vehicles positioned in the so-called yellow zone opened fire toward eastern residential neighborhoods. At least one person was shot and killed near the yellow line, Al Araby TV reported. A Hamas delegation led by Khalil al-Hayya met Turkish intelligence chief İbrahim Kalın in Istanbul today to discuss implementation of the Gaza ceasefire and preparations for moving to its second phase. Hamas said that during the meeting it reaffirmed its commitment to the truce and cited ongoing Israeli violations that have killed more than 400 Palestinians since it took effect. The delegation stressed the urgent need to allow tents, caravans, heavy equipment, and humanitarian and medical aid into all areas of Gaza as winter conditions worsen. In a statement published by the armed resistance group, the delegation expressed appreciation for Türkiye’s role in supporting Palestinian rights and for its continued support in humanitarian relief efforts.
