Genuinely why is it that people can look at Donald Trump parodying the movements of someone disabled to invoke comedy and understand its vile, but somehow trying to write of disability and fatness and ageism as spectacles of horror do not get clocked as cruel and insensitive and creatively bankrupt

When I read horror books that eventually hinges on ableism, I dont feel scared. I feel nothing. I feel. Bored. Bored of the cruelty, it does not even move me to feel irritation that the worst thing a person can imagine to be is.. disabled
