Wow, it seems the (over)use of ClipStudio 3d dummies is making some superhero comics look really stiff.
The year the theme was werewolves, it was fun to try to capture likenesses in fully transformed mode. Here's Cole:
There was a year for Wizards. Here's a portrait of a warlock with his loyal snake familiar.
There was also a year for Ghosts: this one is a portrait of Rachel being a pirate spectre:
This portrait for Irym is also one of my favorites, drawn on paper and very loose.
One time I made a comic called Orgone Noir for some reason, so that year I tried with that theme: a mix of a noirish strangeness for the portraits. Here's Sara:
Another Gothic Portrait: Jim looking ominous, along a cabinet filled with rarities...
October is for making spooky portraits of patrons, with a different theme every year. These are some of my favorites:
From when the theme was Gothic Portraits...
Very specific tip: if you struggle with the drawing of ears, like me, get a pair of these really cheap silicone models they use to exhibit piercings.

The next comic is about: video rentals in the 90s, niche movies, a deer.
I'm drawing patrons (or their OCs) in the styles of my ttrpg Victorian tokens.

If the AI bubble really is bursting, please take this lesson from it:

Nothing marketed to you this relentlessly is ever worth it. If it was, they wouldn’t need to beg you.
I want to make an Elric comic.

Depiction of the unusually bright meteor seen over the UK #onthisday in 1783. At the time such phenomena were not well understood and the meteor was the subject of much discussion, and also works of art. See more meteors and comets in art here: publicdomainreview.org/collection/f... #otd
Wooow
Was very lucky to do a cover for a reprint of GODS OF JADE AND SHADOW by Silvia Moreno-Garcia and Arcadia Books 💚
I made once a comic called “How to find happiness in a video game” that may have something to do with that feeling.

I love backgrounds in racing games, and in 2d fighting games. Could it be because they are unreachable?

Elric of Melniboné artwork by Yasushi Nirasawa. Left image is from the Creature Core artbook and right image is from the Japanese edition of Chaosium RPG tabletop Stormbringer
Elric of Melniboné stands facing the viewer, wielding a big black sword. Elric is either yelling or gaping in horror at the viewer. His skin is pure white, but his torso, arms, and part of his left leg has blue, swirling tattoos on them. He wears black armor that leaves part of his left leg, stomach, right arm, part of his chest, and face bare. His platinum blond hair whips behind him, tie toward its ends. Behind him is a long, roaring blue dragon rising up. At his feet, left to right, a monster with tentacles, a fat imp, and a demon with long horns, nose, and chin, skulk about. Elric of Melniboné stands, holding his sword behind his back. His skin is pure white but blue, swirly tattoos can be seen on his bare stomach, armpit, top of his head, and on his hand. He wears black that leaves his face and stomach exposed and skulls are at his hips. Yellow skeletons and demons are behind him.
On the left, written vertically on its side, it says: "Dark Fantasy Roleplaying: Elric!"

There was going to be a Spice Girls anime, but they cancelled it. We were fucking ROBBED.
Progress on the Victorian tokens: this character has a Fan Lorgnette, "an accessory where the lorgnette is hidden in the fan and used to inconspicuously observe others"
