The person you're strawmaning has never said either of those things and fight for exactly the same fights you claim to be, and will never suggest in any way capitalism is "inescapable" in the absolute (as in "forever", as in "can't be beaten"). You're wasting energy against the wrong enemy.

How on earth would the mechanisms of capitalism only shape the material realities of western nations, when 50% of all labour-related wealth consumed in the Colonial West/North is a net appropriation from the South. So the stuff in "Atlanta"/"China"/"Sweden", it's all stolen wealth to begin with.

The "west" is now imposing to arabic populations (and others really) the kind of Dystopian Nightmares it sold by the dozens in Hollywood movies for decades as somewhat typical of the "ennemies of the free world" it claimed to be all about fighting with its brand of liberal capitalism.
In Lebanon. Can hear the Israeli drone constantly now. I’ve only been back for a day but folks here deal with it 24/7, for months. It’s psychological torture. You can even see it, just flying around. The Israelis want to let everyone know that they can kill whoever they want whenever they want.

Le fait que le prêt à porter soit majoritaire dans les intentions d'achats suggère que c'est grosso modo juste le transfère de la fête quasi religieuse des "soldes" qui existe depuis... littéralement des siècles vers la sphère online (comme tout le reste) et donc un truc relativement banal au final.
