#RomanticsAnonymous is a sweet slow-burn romcom about two anxiety-ridden souls trying to connect w/the world. They're easy to root for, as is everyone else in this chocolate shop world. Mental illness is portrayed in all its facets, and minus a few HIIPA violations, fairly accurately.

If you've followed my journey w/the jdrama #LearningtoLove, you know I was a bit obsessed, but I wasn't the only one. This unconventional romance demanded commentary & the wait for the 1-a-week 45-min ep nearly did people in. The show is best binged, and all eps are out now.

I read the FL took cooking classes, and she really seemed legit here, from her cooking to her science knowledge.

(I'd also say the historical change-up is fine considering she's a variable. See what I did there? Science/math, right?)

She's a struggle for me at times too, but I'm grateful she took the training to look like a Michelin chef, bc it looked like she really could cook (unlike the last professional chef drama...)

I remember just reading the description of episode 6 before I had the chance to watch it, and bawling my eyes out, even a few more times hours later. There's just something about these two.

Were there nitpicks for #BonAppetitYourMajesty? Sure. But as someone who had no desire to watch it due to assumptions about the actors, historical take, potential cringe factor, & plot progression, & see them all successful in the end, I'd say it's a rather solid drama overall.

I don't get the comforting vibes people say they get from this show. That small town was downright horrible for her. She should have gotten back on that bus with her little backpack and gone anywhere else.

SUMMER STRIKE - 5/10

Would have dropped it if I wasn’t watching this for a podcast ep. I knew going in the slice of life wouldn’t be for me but even the parts I thought I would like, I didn’t. I also figured out the mystery very early on, I got bored. The 2 romances were sweet though

Bc I can't get enough of #LearningtoLove, I decided to try the new-to-Viki thai drama, host-centric #RabbitontheMoon. Wowsers, is it good! An island fling gets another meeting on the mainland when she finds out he's a top host who her client wants for a 10-day trip. He's pissed, for good reason.
