josh kraft response: yea but my daddy owns patriots.
Such a powerful video from @boston.gov and @streets.boston.gov about the impact of e-bikes (and the city's e-bike voucher program). Just look at the joy these bikes have brought to Steven and Muriel Leonard!
hot take: the MTA should ghost in the IBX onto all of its digital maps. (@queenslink too)
Y’all I figured it out I figured out why Fulton Street doesn’t look as good as it could need more trees and a bike lane and no cars and frequent buses and thriving businesses and amazing people that’s all
what happened to us where traffic death is normal and expected and blamed but other death isn’t? why are we not enraged that thousands of people die every year-preventably-on our roads.

why isn’t the pursuit of arriving home safe the key to our system?

it’s money and power and it’s all made up.
curious if any readers read this how i did.
There are four main reasons why @ndhapple.bsky.social's Momentum continues to be eminently readable, rereadable, and relevant.

Candor, personality, and voice.

Data relevance, not dependence.

Reader-centered narrative arc.

Reality-checked solutions.

This paper is as much style as substance.
happy to review something delightful, exasperatedly. cheers!
Critics say! @samsklar.bsky.social offers both thoughts and notes for Momentum, plus there’s a Q&A about the process that led to it.

(Getting a review might be the most surreal part of this yet!)

this simply makes me want to run headfirst into a wall.

i don’t understand why we have 8.5 million people and we continue to elect the absolute dumbest of all of us.
Mayor Adams is wearing his “in god we trust” American flag shirt once again. But this time it’s written in Italian. He says it’s Spanish to honor the victims of a nightclub roof collapse in the Dominican republic last week.
i hope everyone knows this was meant as a joke obviously you rule. (thank you for your work @rebeccasolnit.bsky.social)
yea but have you considered he’s so unbelievably stupid and captured by bad actors.
it’s not for lack of ideas but this type of back-into-the-point editorializing hurts so much more than saying nothing at all. i get the games app has a little hustle as a reporting machine, but when did it start treating its readers like idiots?
how does the paper of record continue to sound like a broken one? seriously? is there no one in the editor bullpen that has any idea how the built environment exists, let alone works?
huge W at the Maxjmum New York organizing session today! @danielgolliher.bsky.social and @nycpolitics101.bsky.social really inspired everyone at the event and i could feel @abundanceny.bsky.social VIBES coursing through everyone who gave 2 hours on a sunday to do #onmorething
