I was always under the assumption that it was the front of the plate, as well. But I suppose we'll see what ends up happening with this!

That's what I'm thinking, also. I'm not sure if this is new this year, because they started using ABS here a few years back and this the first time I've seen it.

This is the Arizona Fall League, a "prospect finishing school" of sorts for the next month in AZ. Many of these guys will be on MLB rosters in the next 3-5 years, if not sooner.

Usually MLB tests stuff out here, as well (they started testing out ABS a few years ago, and the pitch clock).

Tonight I learned that swing calls can also be challenged using ABS.

This call was originally a “swing” but Nelly Taylor Jr. (Angels CF prospect) challenged and it was overturned. He also just got a base hit.

I got 5 hours of sleep last night and then spilled my (cold) coffee on my lap 5 min after I left my house (and did my laundry last night). And I was already late so we’re just dealing with it.

And then I have nonstop meetings and classes all day from 8:30-4:30 bc it’s reg week.

#Rockies prospects Charlie Condon’s and Jared Thomas’ grand slams on Wednesday night marked the first time in Arizona Fall League history that two slams were hit in the same game (and both by the same org, which is cool).
