Yeah exactly. Like I think kinking on stuff is absolutely fine, go for it, but it’s the OFFENCE ppl take. But i have many thoughts abt this w ogata specifically which I’ll leave off the public blogging, but a friend of mine calls this ’butthole phrenology‘ and they are right….

Exactlyyyyy like no one is making you click on ANY FIC. If it’s not tagged the way you want it to be then move on and find something that is if it’s important to you. it’s fanfic. get some perspective.

Hmmm yeah okay, I disagree completely with their central idea then. I get having a preference. But saying their characterisation needs to be totally different depending on t/b….. i mean, well, that’s a good way to let ME know i won’t be very interested in your fic i guess so useful in that regard…

Like it becomes not just a case of wanting to know (not always unreasonable) and throwing a tantrum when a fic doesn't cater to their preferences and acting like not having 'access' to a fic w different idea is causing them some harm 🙄

I do think however it's useful for finding what you want - i can fall off a log and find yuuo so i appreciate when oyuu is tagged bc a bitch gets bored sometimes

I also think the backbutton is right there - it's a preference ppl are entitled to have but if it'd not to theit liking they can leave anytime, i'm not entertaining the argument i'm causing them harm somehow w top/bottom differences
