Chapter 10 of the Djinn's Daughter brings Ryu back to the Sand Tribe (before Wani and Hawk go and tackle him and drag him back, good for him). The obvious inevitable things keep obviousing. (It's a verb now.)

The amount of cute is killing me. I can't. I'd pick the little swordscat up for cuddles, but I'm sure it wouldn't fit his dignity and I'd get scratched. Also: so nice of Crocatdile! He takes good care of his friends.

I'm so sorry, that's challenging to wrangle. You need a lot of distractions to go, yas. 'n on very long flights they of course have the movie selections to help, too. But really, where are our teleporters? We're at 2025 already!

I feel that where the Grand Design was 'come for the smut, stay for the sociopolitical planning', Djinn's Daughter will become 'come for the aww-so-cute-and-wholesome, stay for the 'welp, that's ...complex, but but cultural context, surely this makes sense, right?'

I'm 7k into the next chapter of Djinn's Daughter and after a long moment of 'wait, waiiiiiiiit.' at the characters who do what they want while I'm here helplessly typing along I have come to the realization that apparently I need to create a new relationship tag tomorrow. Didn't find any. Well then.

"Rocks, wait!" - "Out of my way" sounds suspiciously close to Rocks charging straight into Domi Reversi or something. My bets are seriously on that, 'cause bringing it up otherwise just to use it on Rocks's family is sort of... not the main point, just foreshadowing/reminder that it's a thing.

The only ship (besides marines) that we KNOW will sail out of there is Roger's. Surely Rocks's too 'cause that's a lot of surviving Rocks Pirates if they didn't have a ship, unless Kaido flies them all out on his back or something.

I was thinking that maybe Eris and Teach could have been saved by Kuma, but guess we'll see soon if they're still on the island or not. Otherwise that's going to be tricky, since they also showed marines destroying ships trying to leave the island. Right?
