Writer, Teacher and art lover. Talk to me about: Hot takes on old tropes, Feminism and other representation in cinema and writing, clothes, why Nate is the villain in The Devil Wears Prada or dogs. Always talk to me about dogs.
"Wake me up, when September ends" continues to be my anthem for this month every year, both as a teacher and as a grieving sister. Still, ploughing on with editing draft 4 and trying to find a home for my science fiction short.

He was almost at the door when it was flung open. Adrenaline and instinct saved him. With a cry of panic and a blow that would have had his fencing master howling with disapproval, Ruslan hit not his assailant, but their musket. The weapon fired uselessly into the ceiling.

Had a great time at Fantasycon. Came home, made it through one day of work, pulled my back by coughing in the wrong position (?), failed to sleep it off. Had to call in sick because I could not physically bend in a way that allowed me to put socks on.

From the sublime to the ridiculous.
