To be fair, since he lives in Florida instead of the state he represents, maybe he doesn’t realize 752,000 Alabamians rely on SNAP—14.6% of the state’s population.

I was also forced to have a child at 18 bc my family vowed to disown me if I had an abortion. Force girls to give birth and then throw stones at them for being poor is the whole Republican platform. They’re sick and we need to stop them

I didn’t do SNAP bc it was so painful to go through the process of getting Medicaid and WIC and I could make do with WIC. That is our money and we have to purge these right wing nut balls who think poverty is a curse from God. I was working and going to collage so I could get out of poverty

I was a mom at 18 and I was on WIC in a small rural town. I had to go to a church to get my vouchers every month, sit through an hour of being questioned about parenting, finances, critiqued for my daughter having cute clothes, told we both looked so good we obviously didn’t need this help with food
