As of this morning, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (AKA: SNAP, Food Stamps or EBT) recipients STILL have not received their benefits. Meaning, they are unable to buy food. Because I h been both a SNAP recipient and a state caseworker who processed SNAP applications, I thought I should do

Got a text from DaughterTwo, asking if GrandsonTwo could ride along on one of LittleGuy’s drives up and down the hill (they’re friends).

Gave her the schedule for the next little bit. I’m driving him tomorrow but D2 and the boys are going to visit my mom, so maybe next Friday.

The difference between legal and illegal orders, and the imperative to not obey the latter, was one if the first lessons in boot camp.

BUT, you know what? When we questioned how to tell the difference when situations were unclear, we were told to follow the orders and question them afterwards.

the equivalent of paper cuts was awful. Nope and nope.

Went to Michael’s, where I touched all the yarn and chose some wonderfully soft yarn in the same color palette.

Just started it and it is a pleasure to work with. The afghan will be in a plain shell stitch and will be so very cosy.

I finally freed myself from the horror of the terrible afghan I’ve been working on—tossed the damned thing in the garbage. The yarn was so awful, it was like working with shredded soda bottles, and the thought of the little girl
