If you've updated to Windows 11 recently, you're probably on version 25H2.

There's a new setting in Settings: Privacy & Security.

Scroll aaaaaaaalll the way to the bottom and you'll see "Text and Image Generation."

TURN IT OFF.

"Text and image generation uses on-device AI technologies to quickly respond to requests. Turning this settings off will not affect apps and features using cloud AI technologies.

Windows and anyone using this device can use Text and image generation.

I think that's why games- ahem, simulators like Project Motor Racing don't bother with presentation anymore and just show generic flyby shots with a plain list of features as an announcement - their target audience can't experience excitement anymore, they just need pure, distilled realism.

Today on Bottom Gear: yours truly accidentally walks into the comments section of a video from a sim racer channel, gets immediately reminded of why simdads suck.
I feel that it would be no exaggeration at this point to call simdads as joyless as cryptobros.
