It’s long been a tactic of Republicans to cause the problems they then blame on Democrats and liberals.

They’ve stepped it up with trying to deliberately incite violence by claiming self-defense as “antifa attacks on law enforcement.”

And Republicans continue to do nothing.

The free press is under attack in America. And the Trump administration isn't being particularly subtle about it.

Reporters are not meant to be stenographers for the Pentagon. We all need to support a free and independent press.
Media including Fox News overwhelmingly reject Pentagon press policy
Fox News, along with ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN, said that the Pentagon policy violates their “core journalistic protections.”

Both damning and yet nowhere near harsh enough.
NPR: C National Public Radio’s political coverage has often been an exercise in bothsidesism. In a typical segment in recent years, an NPR host interviews a Republican liar, lets them lie with little or no pushback, and then thanks them for the interview. Since the GOP-led Congress cut off NPR’s federal funds, I’ve noticed a bit more aggressive reporting, but it’s still not as tough as it needs to be.

Nearly all the staff in the Office of Special Education have been fired as part of Trump’s sweeping layoffs.

These are the people responsible for protecting the civil rights of students with disabilities and ensuring they receive an equal education.

More needless cruelty on display.

This outlet would get a better grade if it fired Joe Scarborough and John Kasich. But on the plus side, it features stalwarts Lawrence O’Donnell, Ali Velshi, Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes, and Nicolle Wallace. Picking up Washington Post refugee Carol Leonnig was another plus. Losing Mehdi…”

First the Trump regime fired 1,300 CDC workers. Then it rehired about half of them.

Those who remain fired include key officials working on injury and violence prevention and crucial health statistics.

This hurts federal workers and puts us all at risk in a public health emergency.
