The nurse is the complainant. Dr Upton and NHS Fife are the Respondents (≈ defendants). The question is whether they broke employment law and the nurse is due compensation.

It’s a very specific form of civil action, known as an ‘employment tribunal’, not ‘trial’ Upton & NHS Fife may have to pay compensation to the complainant, Sandie Peggie.

Not exactly. Dr Upton is one of two Respondents (the other is NHS Fife) in an employment tribunal. It’s a civil case, not a criminal case.

Dr Upton IS a respondent in the tribunal. It’s not a trial, though.

Working on different groups but only on the things you agree with is what ultimately creates social movements. And your prior positive contact makes them more able to switch to your position when light dawns.

Because Trade Unions prioritise IDPol over working conditions, etc too. And the number of women in TUs is in sharp decline.

Please spare a thought for James Dyson, the Brexit-voting billionaire who bought up 33,000 acres of farmland to avoid tax then moved his business to Singapore. He's the real victim here.
