Specbio design work for my alien creatures. I don't have a name for them yet, think I'll just refer to them as "Discerners", since they've taken a vow of knowledge and their society is built around studying the world that they live in and reality altogether (as well as themselves).

The animal has a quadrupedal body that is shaped like a cheetah's, mixed with a meerkat. Its torso is long, with an extended pointy tail. The front arms are more like human arms, with opposable thumbs and four fingers on each hand. They sit upright like humans. On their backs are folds that contain wings that are like bug wings, that unfold when opened. The colors of the creature are brown, tan, blue, and cream. The eyes are yellow, and have nictitating membranes. The face of the animal is dog-like, but with a pointy hooked nose that looks sort of beak like. Their nose is bright blue, and their teeth are sharp and carnivorous.

Six years ago, I wanted to seriously take on a more semi-realistic art direction for my own growth. And I still remember when I made this piece, it was such a stark contrast to my prior work and motivated me to keep trying. I'm still proud of this, and I love looking back on it, seeing-
