I've been enjoying Commander a lot. Took doctor dedication in our free archetype game and man I do not want for things to do, only the actions with which to do them.

A wealthy person could buy the same shitty boots a poor person does, and they would still last twice as long.

They're simply working less in them. Those same boots get stressed and worked to death as a poor person struggles, while the wealthy will barely put distance in then, let alone work.

While I very much enjoy the Vimes boot theory of economics (It's such a moment in Prachett's storytelling), unfortunately, it misses points.

Mostly how manufacturers are incentivised to make the quest product viable.

But also how much less the same boots would last on a poor person anyway.

Considering the rapid change in management and the seeking lack of respect afterwards, I cannot say as I'm surprised that this has happened. Feels extremely "venture capital": swoop in on the cheap, destroy it from the inside, sell every asset you can, then bankrupt it.

It was announced, planned & already begun a long while ago, nearly 4 years ago. It's an attempt to help broaden prospects for otherwise strictly 5e players. "Come see what you're missing!"

Then the ogl fiasco happened a year or so after it was already in motion. I doubt we'll see any more like it.

Those RPGs (while great) are also based on first edition, not the one pictured. Very different beasts mechanically.

Still a string recommend, just don't be afraid to look up build guides. It's complicated.
