Ella McKay is the normie Kiss Of The Spider Woman, in that it doesn’t entirely reach the lofty genre-specific Old Hollywood heights that it shoots for, (musicals for KOTSW, screwball comedies for EM) but there’s a certain gusto that carried it over the finish line for me.

I didn’t get into it in the review but Jack Lowden is doing a spooky good mirror of Woody Harrelson’s character. Like as soon as he starts speaking and gesticulating you’re like “oh, she married her father.”
A deeply earnest plea for society to get back on the hopeful track of the Obama years, when Formerly Gifted Kids were leading the charge to continue the promise and progress of the 20th century into the 2000s
