In 2015 UNHCR said allow people to apply for asylum at any European embassy anywhere in world. Claims examined in situ, genuine refugees flown safely & legally to receiving country, those rejected wouldn't bother trying because they'd be deported on arrival. Why did we reject this sensible idea?
Time you had a system of listed buildings. In the UK the White House would have been a grade 1 listed building and he wouldn't have been allowed to touch it.
Olio is literally keeping my extremely sick daughter in existence right now. I am so grateful to people like you.

Reform UK didn't bother paying VAT and it was only uncovered after The Times investigated.

Please tell me why it is Disabled People and Pensioners bank accounts we are spying on and not Billionaires and Politicians.
We absolutely should be protesting the actions of the Israeli government towards the innocent people of Gaza. Jewish people absolutely should feel safe and secure and loved on the streets of our country. There is absolutely nothing incompatible between these two.
It's National Poetry Day. So here's a poem about poetry. Written by me, for my husband.

There is no 'core British identity'. The culture of these islands is onion layers of invasion and immigration piled on top of each other. Nobody is from here but we all belong here.

Ming Campbell was a dedicated public servant and a true Liberal giant.

His principled leadership opposing the Iraq War was a mark of his morality, courage and wisdom.

But more than that, he was an incredibly warm and caring friend and colleague.

We will miss him terribly.

Shout out to @london.gov.uk Sadiq Khan for speaking truth to power. More moral courage in his little finger etc etc.

Our politics and media have become viciously obsessed with immigration. Farage has made sure of it. And in that obsession, they’ve all lost sight of the people they target. Fellow human beings trying to live and belong somewhere.
Shame on everyone responsible for this daily inhumanity

Ours was ruined last week. They let Trump in. Fortunately he's gone now.
I wonder what nonsense POTUS will come up with next? Maybe we should suggest a few in case he's stuck? Cleaning your teeth causes prostate cancer... eating breakfast cereal gives you AIDS... biscuits and gravy is a source of psoriasis.... breathing the air inside the Oval Office causes dementia...?
What right does an African immigrant in America think he has to tell us Brits how and when to vote? Please mind your own business, Mr Musk.
Politics feels like rage over here, too, at the moment. The difference is no one gets shot at a university because we don't have guns.
I don't remember Robert Jenrick or Jeremy Hunt being sacked for property fraud, so why the double standard for Angela Rayner?
I totally agree with you. But he seems to be suggesting that opposing what's going on in Gaza is an attack on all Jewish people. Which is evident, immoral nonsense.
Here in the UK we can't for the life of us understand how anyone could love their guns more than their children.
This bears repeating, four years after it was first published:

My current favourite joke. Tee hee.
Nurse to patient: I have bad news for you. Things are not going to go well because Mercury is in Uranus.
Patient: Oh, I don't believe in all that astrology nonsense.
Nurse: No, it's not astrology. My thermometer's broken.
Is he suggesting that all Jews like killing children and civilians? Because that's the implication of what he's written and it sounds extremely antisemitic to me.
I'm listening to French radio news today and I keep hearing canicule. Send some over here, we've had a few nice days but it's 26 and cloudy yesterday and today!

Do you want to nationalise Water, Power, Rail, Mail, Fossil Fuel, Steel, Telecoms, Public Transport, The NHS, Care Homes, Airports, Air Traffic Control, Ship Building and much more?

This isn't something radical, it's 1970.
