"Ruining the workplace" is such a funny premise, like asking did women ruin hell. Anyway, John Ford, Frederick Taylor, Elton Mayo et al. were all men as far as I know

NEW: Common Crawl, the massive archiver of the web, has gotten cozy with AI companies and is providing paywalled articles for training data. They’re also lying to publishers who have asked for material to be removed. “The robots are people too,” CC’s exec director told us when we asked about this.
Haha well in this case I am that kind of American. Interesting comp with Disintegration though as HoLV is fizzy and sugary compared to previous, whereas I thought the charge against Disintegration is that it's too much of a distended mope that obscures their poppier talents

Beyond the Hot 100, what makes Tom's post especially wrong is it's in response to a post about Disintegration, which was empirically a reasonably popular album (even in the US), not some indie obscurity only belatedly canonized like he keeps insisting everything good from 1989 was

Maybe it's different in the sciences, but my experience with peer reviewing is that journals are beyond desperate to get people to do it — they couldn't care less who you are. Try to "not it" and they will bully you relentlessly to name other candidates

I don't care how many tattoos Platner gets, I'm seeing multiple non-US-based posters making fun of this doofus. I'm no campaign strategist, but "our guy is an international joke" seems like past time to fold
