Masashi was being told that everyone loved hinata and hated sakura so that’s probably why we never got anything more. At least fairy tail, adventure of dai, demon slayer, and mär seemed to be inspired by her (adventure of dai came first so it’s the other way around for that one I think)

There was an omake about how hinata got an ending where she rides a bike (that I felt was kind of badly timed honestly) and that Sakura should get an ending. sakura was the heroine according to masashi but hinata was also popular among the male anime staff/male fans
