I've done a lot of species exploration over the past few years, and I learn more and more about myself as I do it. But now, it's led me to being a dutch angel dragon, and I feel so comfortable this way

I think there's a connection between my social anxiety and my species identity. I am so much more relaxed, natural, and at ease when I present as my non-human species, and so much more anxious when I can't avoid showing the human body I'm stuck with.

I think that especially right now, with ICE abducting people, wearing tactical gear to cons is incredibly unsettling. I would feel WAY safer not having to guess if the guy approaching me in tactical gear is an attendee or a threat. @furfest.org
To sum up this thread, given recent events in the Chicagoland area due to ICE activity, for the safety of all attendees, especially international attendees, I am calling on @furfest.org to ban tactical gear & modern police/military costumes from the con space

I absolutely adore being a dutchie. My species identity has been a long journey, with closer and closer matches with each exploration, but each has had something that didn't quite feel right. Dutchies, on the other hand, feel super on target
