So a week or so ago I asked him if he wanted to hear a song about a moon shadow. Queue Cat Stevens. The kiddo thought it was the greatest thing he'd ever heard.

Now he's obsessed with Can Stevens. And I don't know about y'all, but I can barely stay composed when listening to that man's music.

I tried to explain to him that's the shadow of the Earth on the moon. But he only registered two words in that sentence: "moon shadow". Now, every night he asks if he can check to see how big the the moon shadow is.

Lately my 4yo has become obsessed with the phases of the moon. I have a night sky viewer on my phone, and part of his bedtime routine is having a quick lunar check-in. So naturally, he got curious and asked me why part of the moon is dark.

Lol Riley might be the worst character on the show. Buffy's just not allowed to have a likeable love interest I guess.

I prefer S2, but 3 is a close second. It was just way more fun when they were still in high school. And I'll never forgive Whedon for killing off Principal Snyder.

I was getting really close to killing Chronos, but now I'm totally sidetracked by the Olympus track in Hades 2. I feel like I'm doing it wrong lol. Should I focus on beating Chronos first, or am I supposed to be getting sidetracked?

Dragging this up because of the pure joy my 4yo gave me the other day, after coming home from daycare and I cursed under my breath because I left the porch light on.

He evidently heard me, because when we went inside he said "Mama, we left the fuckin' light on!"

Can't we all just agree to be ok with kids using swear words? We have enough to worry about as parents and as a society, just let kids swear! Besides, it's cute and funny when my kid says "oh my fock!"

I love OOT and it will probably always rank higher than Majora's Mask for me, because I spent wayyy more time with it as a kid (literally dozens of playthroughs, it was the only game I owned for like 2 years).

But real talk, Majora's Mask is a better game.

Glopstepalof
Glopstepalof, third of his name, last of his kind. Once the rightful heir to the swamp kingdoms of the east, in childhood he watched them drained by the giants so that they might build their great bridge.
He sank deep into malice and magic. Carved runes into his flesh, fed blood into entities best left unnamed. Sucked power from the teat of the world.
Seven hundred long, lonely years passed. He grows fetid and fat at the peak of the twisted tower he built for himself, from which he communes with the things beyond the stars and the oozes that lie even beyond them. He gathers his power. His eye on the east and the dying light of the sun, he wants nothing less than to flood the world and plant his throne atop it.

I'm offering you a list of weird spells. These are so weird that they are impossible to learn making them single-use spells.

Introduce them in your game by choosing the one you want or rolling a d10.

The spells inside are weird and impossible to learn.

Combustive Coiffure : Your hair ignites in harmless fire for 1d6 hours, providing light but also a burned hair smell.
Snackrifice : Conjures a full meal… but only of food you hated as a child.
Temporal Sneezes : Every time you sneeze for the next hour, you shift 1d4 seconds into the future.
Sock Swap : All socks in a 30 ft radius instantly change owners.
Tongue of Beasts : You can talk to animals for 10 minutes, but they all gossip about you.
Time Stutter : For 1d6 turns, your body repeats your last action automatically.
Phantom Umbrella : Summons an invisible umbrella that follows you around for 1d6 hours.
Skeleton Key : Your finger turns into a skeleton key for 1 hour… but your finger stays stuck in the lock if you fail the roll.
Mimic’s Gift : Creates an exact copy of an object you’re holding. One is real, one is alive. You can't tell which one is which.
Bubble Doom: You float gently into the air inside a giant soap bubble for 1d6 minutes. If it pops, so do you...
