I just heard the term, “Universal Basic Compute” or “UBC” on Peter Diamandis’ Moonshots podcast. This is an analog to the “Universal Basic Income” or “UBI” idea. In this scenario, every citizen is supplied w/ a basic level of computing so that everyone is empowered with AI & no one is left behind.

The United States government has officially taken a ten percent stake in Intel Corporation. Using $5.7 billion from unpaid CHIPS Act grants and $3.2 billion from the Secure Enclave program, the U.S. made an $8.9 billion investment in Intel’s common stock.
