Who's this for?

I think probably autistic creatives who struggle with shame, people who struggle defining a single cohesive vision of their creative work, people who're horny and have been told to feel bad about it.
Check out October! 😈

Can I get a hell yes?

It's messed up when even the pro-union left wing party is crying foul.

Personally, I kinda think only independence will solve these sorts of problems, but that's not really on the cards right now.
BREAKING NEWS

Over a third of Welsh Labour Senedd Members have written to Keir Starmer to stop undermining devolution.

They say:

"If this was being done by a Tory Government, we would be calling for a judicial review. This must never happen again."

No film is a christmas film any more. Christmas films are banned.

All films are boxing day films now, as in if you ask whether THAT film is a christmas film once more, I'll box your god damn ears!

Agree with every word of this!
I'm going out on a limb for this one to talk about something I feel strongly about: reading and writing smut at the same time as part of ERP (Erotic Roleplay).

It's got a bad rap, and for good reason, but when it's done well it can be amazing. This is a great opportunity to talk about it!

Continuing our #Smutcember setup:

Do you have a preference between reading smut or writing it, or perhaps engaging with it in a different form of media entirely? If so, what about that form of engagement appeals to you the most?

Happy #SmutCember No 3, folks. :P

Reading and writing are the same thing to me; interpretation in different directions. One goes from words to imagination, and the other in the other direction. So I don't think I can separate the two enough to say I prefer one or the other; I gotta have both.

Ironically, using a favoured metaphor obscured the message over stating it in a literal, unambiguous way; it might genuinely be an example of where the originator should have killed their darling.
"Kill your darlings" is possibly the most wildly interpreted writing advice. But it doesn't mean "get rid of the things you like", what would be the point of that?

I've always read it as: "Sometimes your favorite line might have to go *for the sake of the story as a whole*."
Some darlings are great; if we killed them all, Shakespeare would be awfully bland.

But some darlings don't belong in the story you wrote. Better to determine what needs to go during the editing phase. Don't bother during the first draft phase. That's the official Darlings Recess. They get to play.

Yeeeesssssss! Given my little thread earlier, it probably comes as no surprise I agree with all of this!
#Smutcember 2: Very high, no hard-and-fast boundaries, I can enjoy the full no-spice to all-spice spectrum.

But I have other criteria.

Europa Uni is my attempt to create a high-smut story where sex and kink feel organic, even integral, to the characters, world, and narrative. (1/4)
As we continue into #Smutcember, it's important to know:

What is your spice comfort level? Does it vary between what you enjoy privately and what you're willing to share? Do you have hard boundaries for what you engage with?

#SmutCember Day Number 2!

I like it all, from no spice to five-alarm fire. The level is less important to me than understanding why the smut matters to the character. Written stories excel at interiority; you can get into the character's mind in a way you can't in most other media, and I think

GWNN is pretty vanilla tbh, but i don’t spook easy. Some of my favorite stories involve grey morality.

I think fiction is a great way to explore and better understand your own desires(and other people’s) in a low-stakes way. If the book gives you the ick, you can just put it down

I keep seeing stuff about a petition and like, contact your reps directly. Sign that too if you want, but petition signatures are a lesser priority.
Congress is attempting to fast track KOSA and more than a dozen bills that would restrict internet access, censor speech and increase surveillance under the guise of protecting children.

Committee hearings begin tomorrow.
Lawmakers to consider 19 bills for childproofing the internet
KOSA is back, along with more than a dozen other bills that will erode free speech and privacy in the name of protecting kids.
