Because the issues aren't real to them. As cishet white men, they've been conditioned to see themselves as inherently superior and never challenged that. Success has likely confirmed that belief and they're not aware of minority issues as terribly important. What they want comes first. Always.

to being down the pub with their friends, they can't even tell you who's on the team. When they can celebrate and share in the camaraderie, they're all "go team!"

That's *fine* when it's rugby or football - literally, who cares? - and totally fucked when it's marginalised people's lives.

Politics is a thing that happens to other people, which they simply observe, because the actual impacts are mitigated by their wealth and privelege. They're never going to have someone tell them they can't have a job/housing/healthcare because of who they are 1/

Then taxing billionaires for their rapacity and greed must be a global preoccupation. They are a planetary scourge, and it should never have been allowed to happen, so the least we can do is right the situation.

Got out of there about 6am this morning after he had some medication and was told the wait was *still* double digits. Absolutely unhinged.

More than ever convinced that billionaires need to pay their way. They benefit from the NHS, our shools, roads, all of it. They must help pay for it.

I'm fine, dad not so much. Been here long enough to be sure it's not life threatening, but jesus what a horrid place/sitch. If I could get my hands on the people that have underfund the nhs this badly... Some people have been waiting ten hours.
